Story Introduction
The player discovers several things on their journey. First, that there are tears in time that are appearing with increasing frequency, pulling people from different time periods into the present (1924), even parallel universe versions of people from the similar time period. In addition, Pokémon from the past and future, like Tyrunt or Klink, are appearing in places.
Secondly, they find out that the Syndicate is run by [[Count Furness]]. As described above, his only goal is to return to his own time of (current year) and see his family and precious Pokémon again. He despises the time period, despises the class divide and despises the cult that does his bidding. The object discovered then stolen by the player is the Adamant Orb, something that Furness intends to steal research on to awaken or utilise the power of Dialga, the God of Time.
Through a machine created to harness the energy of the Orb, Dialga is indeed awoken, yet in pain and enraged. Its presence starts to destroy time. Furness realises that the world he came from no longer exists, and that the same event that stranded him in the past must have destroyed his timeline. Realising that he was soon to have destroyed this one too, he has a change of heart. Teaming up together, you defeat and subdue Dialga and restore time.
The Lady comments that while this world is saved, she sees many other dooms happening and not happening in other universes. An island nation with a ball of fire. A mountain nation where events not too dissimilar from those today occur. A nation struck with a terrible weapon created during a thousand-year war...
